Dear frens..

Paul aim in life is-"..forgetting what is behind me, and pressing towards the upward call of Christ Jesus.." What is this upward call? I used to limit God's call on my life to Christian ministry, church service and missions, BUT God's call is SO much MORE! It extends beyond just the "works" that we do for Him...it is our LIFE. Oswald Chambers said, in his devotional, that we must identify with Christ in our lives, and that the way Jesus lived on earth must be the way in which we live now. Ministry is but a small part of God's call for you...learn to see everything for His eye-view and live life in obedience to His call.

"Let your heartbeat be my heart's cry...let me live to serve Your call."

That is my desire, Lord!

Dear frens..

God has burdened my heart to speak the message of the Cross. Let us take some time to lay aside the doings of life to return to examine the Cross- and what it holds for us.

I believe that the Cross is a:

1) place of relationship- at the cross, Jesus died to reconcile us back to the Father, so that we may live in fellowship with Him. At the cross, Jesus became our King, and Lord, forming Kingship and Lordship over our lives. Since he had adopted us as children of Himself, we share kinship with Him. Even though Jesus is King, the bible says that He is also our brother and our friend. Thus, we share friendship with Him too. If we ever think that the cross is a place of works, we are wrong. It is a place of love, of relationships.

2) place of sacrifice- "not my will, but Yours be done." What is sacrifice? It is laying down all we have- for the sake of the cross. Jesus modeled the perfect sacrifice- his Life in itself was a sacrifice. He lived to die. Sacrifice is painful. Jesus struggled with God to take "the cup away from Him". The "cup" was God's will for him to die on the cross for our sins. He even sweat blood because of this sacrifice. Was it fear of death or torture that made Jesus agonized? No...it was separation from the Father- his lifeline, the Being whom his life had always been and will forever be centered upon. At that moment, when Jesus carried the sins of the world, God- His father had to turn away from Jesus because he became sin, "so that we could gain His righteousness".

3) place of salvation-where our sins are washed away in Jesus' blood, which was "poured out as a ransom for many". Salvation is your entrance to a life- free from the sin that entangle you and a life with Jesus. Salvation is something that many christians, sadly, neglect. As Brian Houston says, "Many are firm in their belief of the cross- where salvation started, and their life's final destination...but they fail to tap upon the Power of God's salvation to live their life."

God sent His son to die for you and me. If today, you are looking for true love or purpose for your life, return to the cross and let Jesus' love overwhelm you.

praying for you,

Benedict

Wow! What an awesome statement but this statement carries with it just as awesome a responsibility...it is a commitment to abandon all other plans and purposes and to let the only goal of your life be to "know Him more." In every circumstance, situations, and seasons, we will get to know a group of people who are just obsessed with their Saviour- Jesus Christ, and their attitude of seeking Him in their everyday doings- no matter the cost. They are so hungry and desperate that you find them constantly on their knees, asking for deeper and deeper revelations of God. These are the Jesus Freaks and God Catchers.
