Wednesday, October 12, 2005 Have God been real in your lives the past few days?...have you felt his touch on your everything...that circumstances just don’t matter?...because God has put a sense of purpose in you that you will pursue His presence and Live in His will... no matter the cost?..
I pray fervently that God will begin to speak to us, in these last days, where His voice is urgently and desperately needed to bring peace and stability to our world. It is not the external circumstances that we should seek to change...but it is our hearts that need to be touched by His grace and love once again. As you read about how God deals with injustice and how we- as a chosen Priesthood should react to it, I pray that God will meet with you in a powerful way and that His anointing will pierce through your circumstances...no matter how dull they may seem... Psalms 12: 6-7 “The word of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of the earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord; You shall preserve them from this generation forever.” In this psalm, David was crying out to God for the injustice done in his time- “Help!” David cries... “For the godly man ceases”... Has there come a time in our lives where we have felt that there seemed to be no one out there that is godly or God-fearing? I definitely have. Sometimes, it drives me to frustration there is no voice of justice that is rising up. Evil men are getting their way and the Christians- who are supposed to live in fear of God instead of speaking up, are joining in with the procession...others hold their head down in fear. Who...will speak for the Lord? David felt that way too. People were boasting and speaking evil of one another (doesn’t it seem like our generation?), and they were pretentious (double-hearted). Nobody is what they seem- they are deceitful...David says. Worst still, they say “Who is lord over us?” Then...the Lord answers. “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy; now I will arise...” Finally...at last...in his great love for those who are suffering under such injustice, he will ARISE. You may say...can we trust God’s word on this? David trusted...look at what he says- “You shall keep them, oh Lord. You shall preserve them from this generation forever.” He was certain. Why? Let’s look at the verse before. “The words of the Lord are pure words; like silver tried in a furnace of earth. Purified seven times.” I want you to note that God’s words are like silver, David says, that has gone through flame...so that no impurities are left...except the “100- percent silver” silver...and His words has not even a hint of deceit. Take notice: “seven times”... “Seven” when used in the bible is meant to be the perfect number...thus God’s word is nothing but the truth. If today, you are facing injustice in your life...take heart, my friend...the word of the Lord never return void. God He Reigns, Benedict History Maker
