Give up...or press on?

Hmm..actually..I really dun know what to say. I think natty's right when she says that maybe she should leave (maybe...i too) SWT to be just dat band dat it was before we took over. The question now is: what will be my response?

Will I just step down?...n leave it to those who remain- to run the team as they wish? And they can just put in so much effort in the skills and singing...and make sure every expression runs 100% smoothly...N the school can just swing to the music and clap along. And at the end, say- "good show by the student worship team!"

Is this what I want? No. This is not what I want. SWT was formed because God called it to be a worship team that will go up on AHS stage to make a difference for Him! To begin to reach out to the students thru genuine-heart-felt worship that will draw them to the Cross- where they can find the salvation for their lives. That is Swt's calling. not simply a get-together to sing n make music...but to ENGAGE the students n point them to our Saviour.

N because God has put such a burden in my heart for the team...n its potential to make such a big impact in the life of this School for Him...I will not back down. I will not give up in the face of opposition or surrender my ground! Because..the God promises that whomever He calls..He also empowers!

frens..if u r reading this..pray like u've never prayed before for God's divine intervention in the yF n Swt team- that His Will will be done thru us and in us. Swt n Yf are 2 powerful forces- to equip, empower, and anoint believers who will dare to answer the Call of God in AHS...n usher in the end-time revival that God has promised.

For His glory...I labour on...

Heart of God

The eyes of God is searching through the Earth- looking for hearts that are turned towards Him and whom He can use to bring the lost back to Him. But...are we ready to listen to His heartbeat? To listen, we must lean upon his chest- we need to be intimate. Only if we our relationship with God is deep, can we really pray prayers that are effective, and that will touch God's heart.

Look at the people around you- ur frens, ur loved ones...people whom u meet day in, day out...can u sense the meaninglessness in their eyes and the emptiness in their hearts? They are searching for something to fill them up- fun? relationships? success?

It's time for us to let the Call of God so illuminate our lives- that whenever people look at us- they can't deny but say- that there's something different about us. We need to be empowered by the anointing of God. But...God will only pour out His anointing when we begin to cry out to Him for those around us- say, "Lord I need you to save my frens. Use me!"

Are we willing to hearken to His call? Are we willing to lay down our cause..that our Cross may be found in Him?

frens..today have been a day of "talents" for me. 1st- morn devotion on talents, den i went to eat with frens and talked bout talents of joking- haha, and then at night, went to choir concert- singing talents- im dazzled by their voices...but more than that, I see people who are bursting with potential- that if directed in the right course, will reap a harvest of success. I know we all have talents- in no matter what area...but what is our motive in displaying our talents? to glorify ourselves...or to glorify the One whom the talents came from? To Him be glory and praise- for He can do "exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we can ask or think." Ben

Relationships in Life

Our life is filled with relationships...the question remains- “How do we handle them?” Our answer to this question is vital to the growing or deteoriating of our relationships. If we treasure the people around us...it is our hope tat our relationships with them will Grow and Not deteoriate.

How then should we deal with relationships? Let us make it a point to show Love in our relationships- in our actions, and in our words. Do not say words that will hurt or offend...but the most important is the spirit and attitude in which we interact with our friends.

Why do I say that? If a person has a generous, willing and helpful spirit, his words will come out of his mouth with a pleasant feeling- that the friend can definitely identify with.

Lastly, our heart must be pure in all our relationships- that we treat our friends well not because of some ulterior motives...but with a genuine love that is pouring out from our heart. Love goes beyond just some sweet honeyed words and touch...it is keeping someone in the deep part of your heart...and letting him or her know that she is valued.

Beckon to e Call

Many atimes...when we are serving the Lord in doing His work, we tend to lose hold of the Call that 1st brought us to His service. It's a Call to Love God- and to Love People.

I pray that written across our lives is a banner to Love God passionately and to Love People fervently. When we have our hearts stead upon this Call...it is difficult for us to lose track of why we are doing what we are doing. But if not, we will tend to feel burned-out when the goings get tough.

In this yr, let us return to this Call. And let it burn even more strongly in our hearts and lives- let it shape our choices, actions and conduct.

All About Jesus

It really is. And until this truth is lived out in our life, everything will seem meaningless and out of focus. You see, many truths in life demands a response in the way we live...guess what- this is no exception.

We need to put Jesus in the centre of our lives. Whatever we do must be because He says it and that settles it. It is always “thy will be done”...never- “my will”. It is called surrender. When will we stop assuming the role of Kings in our lives?

When it’s all about Jesus, our focus shifts from “what is wrong with the world” to “what is right about Christ”. We can never touch and impact others when we ourselves have not yet been revived by Him. We need to get this truth in us- it will CHANGE us!

Come to Him.

Restoring our One Passion in Life...

When I was on my way back from school, my intention was far from blogging on this subject- I wanted to blog about something else- something I felt should be done right but was not.However, as God always does, He surprised me. As I was just hearing the songs in my MP3 and just spending some time to worship Him [during my way home], every song I heard echoed a truth. This truth is to restore my One passion in Life.I think that many times in life, we get distracted a lot by the raging passions in us. Passion is that fire that touches our emotions to do things. We can be passionate bout many things- and something this Passions may get out of hand and end up restricting us from God’s will. So, what should we do?Let us come before God and lay our passions at His altar. Remember what Paul said, compared to knowing Jesus- everything fades away. Therefore, when we restore our One passion in Life- which is to know and follow Jesus...every other passion fades away and become what it is really- just a factor of our life...and this factor will then come under our First Passion- to know Jesus.Indeed, let everything in our life be done for His glory and because He says so.
