it's between Jesus...

and you. Nothing else. When the music, singing, acts fade away...is your heart still beating for Him? Is He still the No. 1 in your life or is something else sitting on the throne of your life? Is the flame still burning for all He is passionate about...are you still loving Him?

check our hearts today. And we'll be surprised. Many of us don't realize that we might have become more in love with church, songs (we try to sing them so well), talents/ gifts, inspirational learning, fellowship...but our hearts, sadly, have grown cold for the one whom all these is about.

God. I pray you break our hearts today. Lord. I want to love you. You are my saviour, my redeemer, my beloved king. There is no one who can ever take your place. My life is yours. Have I forgotten that? Let me live it for you. to see you glorified. Not me. Not anybody else. Lord. You are Love. Love is all about loving you. Help me Love you once again. Help me Lord. I am weak, but You are strong.

Run to Him. Today.

Forever I will Praise

Lord, You are not Captured
by my elaborate arts
Lord, You are not Captured
by my merits
But with a simple heart
Loving You God

I'll sing
To The God who's in Heaven
Who's Power is beyond
All that I can Think

Forever I will Praise

Where are your treasures kept today?

The thing is...in our lives...we keep treasures. These treasures are kept in places. What treasures are these? They are our dreams. Our Hope. Where do we keep them?

Some of us keep them in our relationships. Some, in wealth. Others, in fame. And still others, in achievements. There is one wish that we all share- we wish that our treasures will be protected, and that nothing will be lost, destroyed. and that, the place is safe and secure.

Do you know something? If we put our treasures in relationships, wealth, fame and achievements...we will despair. Because the places are neither safe nor secured. And they will fail, one day, to protect and hold our treasures within. But. There is one place that is entirely safe, secured, and failure-proof.

That is in heaven. If we store up our treasures in God, we can be sure that they will never rot, be destroyed, or crushed...and in heaven...our treasure will escape the stare of circumstances. Your Hope, your dreams will never be lost and stolen in the course of time or nature. It is safe.

Where do you keep your treasures today?

[Ctd from prev post]

And yes...like the woman...we sneak in among the crowd, just to steal a moment with the Miracle Maker. Then, we reach out to touch just a piece of His garment, in all faith that He is the only Answer for us. Like that woman, we are then healed...we feel as if our ever so big void is suddenly satisfied!!

But then...the realization gripped us that we might now be forever bounded, a slave, to this Jesus- as our life debt to Him. We tremble in fear, like the woman...but it is only when we are willing to fall at His feet and pour out miserable life before Him...that we truly learn that we are not only healed, but there is no life debt to pay...He has paid it all...and we are truly Free. And then, we also find that we don’t actually want to let go off Him at all.

The Woman who had an Issue of Blood

Do you still remember as Jesus was travelling down the busy roads of Jerusalem, and crowds of people were pushing against Him...where was He hurrying to? He was rushing to Jarius' home. Jarius' daughter was dying. And yet...do we still remember the woman Jesus met along the way?

This woman had an issue of blood...she was bleeding for years...and doctors only made the illness worse...and during then, all her money had been spent...that was when she heard of a man called Jesus- the Miracle Maker.

He had been said to have given sight to the blind, open the ears of the deaf, and mouths of the mute, and healed all kinds of disease, even leprosy- a contagious skin disease which at that time had no cure. Her only hope is to find this Miracle Maker and perhaps she thought..."If I could just touch His garment...and I will be healed."

Many of us are like this woman. We spend our days trying to fill the empty void in our hearts. The vacuum has made us sick. not physically. but a sense that our life is wasting away. However, all that we have tried to fill the void with- entertainment, friends, people's acceptance, and even spiritual activities (hoping that our lives will have a sense of purpose and destiny)...but all these just would not solve the problem...it had rather caused our void to grow bigger and even more difficult to satisfy.

Then...news reach our ears...of a Miracle Maker. One who can give us the "peace beyond all understanding" and the "love above all measure". Maybe...like this woman, we rush to find this Jesus and all that He can offer...and like her, we think that just maybe...if we touch the edge of His garment, we will be healed. [ctd in next post]

God knows and He cares: "Then Judas, the one who would betray him (Jesus), said, "Surely not I, Rabbi?" Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you." Matthew 26:25 Today, we might be struggling with God, in our hearts, whether or not we should accept Him...or reject His gift...and when God looks at us, and His burning eyes search our hearts, we say to Him, "Surely not I...there is no struggle, Lord." But...there is no need to pretend...for God knows. And He cares. Today, when He says, "It is you." He says it not with bitterness, anger, or condemnation...but with a Father's love...and a saviour's heart. Don't put up an act in front of God...release your hand from whatever it is that you are holding on so tightly- your doubts, your fears, your past, your hurts...and take His hand. You will find that His love is truly amazing...and it is Real. with no strings attached. Can't you hear His cry..."Come to Me."
