Yesterday...

Church was basically a build-on to what has been happening the past few wks. i tink dat's true for our cell too. It's like. either you catch what God is doing and go with it, or u miss it. if anyone of us is still sitting on the fence...let's get right with God. Oh...my heart cries out...that God's river will touch our spirits once again. and let this hunger in ur heart begin to grow and grow...from the inside out. have we let this hunger stagnate...or are we constantly flaming a passion for His name?

Charlene is right. Let's also ask God for forgiveness if we ever grieve His spirit. Let's never kill the flame of God in our lives. The Presence of God is the very thing that will cause our dry and thirsty souls to become alive again.

yes, it's time to leave the boat behind, and step out onto the water with Jesus...it's time to let go of our fear, and embrace love...it's time to let go of skepticism, and trust in His power...when?

Today is the Day. Now is the hour of salvation. May we not harden our hearts when God speaks...but choose to obey.

Having Hope...In Love

Hope is a big word. But it is a word that links much to our lives. Without food, a human can still survive for a no. of days...without water- maybe a few hours (at the strongest)...but without Hope, a human can't survive. One doesn't even truly live, when hope is gone. I've heard an old wise saying that goes like this: "Delayed hope makes the heart sick." Indeed, it's so true.

For me, ive hoped for many things. and when they don't arrive, my heart does faint and feel sick. at least not physically. but it is as if your very breath of life is taken away from you. That is also probably why after man sinned, they were no longer eternal beings. They die. Because, when we disobeyed God, we found ourselves driven away from Him...and who can have Hope if you have been cut off from the God of Hope?

Yet, behind hope...there is a much greater entity. and that is Love. Guys want it. Girls would do anything for it. But Love eludes them, usually. Because the thing we don't understand about love is that it comes not only with the assurance that it is more powerful than heaven and earth...and that it will last forever- but it comes with a price tag attached.

Everytime we think love is light and fairy. we'll deadly wrong. miserably wrong. A God who created the universe, created us, created existence as we know it, HAD to come down as a human being, walked among us- being scorned, mocked by men (btw, whom he created)...and finally whipped, scourged, pricked by a crown of thorns on his head- and my human brain fail to even take in the last part- to hang on a rough, hard cross- both hands stuck to the cross by nails driven into his veins...why? Why?

If not for love. If not for a love that went so deep. He did not care whether He is God, and we are men! He loves us so much and friends, today, I want to tell you that Jesus did for you and for me. He didn't do it for himself- why would he? He died for you. and for me. And for everyone in this world.

For He who knew (for those of u who study lit- u know that "knew" means "do") no sin became sin, so that WE who had sin could be made righteous! stop living ur lives trying to find love. trying to explain love. we can't. we can't even demand for love or to love. only Jesus could. But He didn't demand. He died...to show it.

Would you accept Him? I started writing this article with no intention of writing out the Gospel. but explaining about how we can find hope- in love. But as I wrote, I am convinced, like Paul is, that only God's love endures and that today, if you are searching for hope in love, you have to receive and experience God's love. How can we, a love-starved generation give love to others...or receive it from others...unless we have first encountered the love that will steal our hearts away. that lies in the one called Jesus Christ.

Before eternity, He has waited for you. Till today. Would you accept Him?

Pleading with you,

Ben

Moments of the Heart

"Search me, oh God, test me. Know my anxious thoughts. And see if there is any offensive way in me. And lead me today. In the way everlasting."

Is God enthroned in my heart today? Does He have first-place?

Am I considering what pleases Him?

I'm crying out for more and more of You, Lord!

Fill me...till your river of life overflows out of me to my world. -make your song larger than the trials of this life.
